Certification
Once qualified via the qualification or APEL route, assessors can join Stroma Certification’s certification scheme and begin conducting public building energy assessments, producing and lodging DECs and ARs. We regularly carry out quality assurance to ensure that all assessments conducted and DECs produced meet the required standard.
Stroma Certification certified assessors benefit from the Stroma Certification website members area, regular technical bulletins and regular CPD events and workshops.

APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning)
For experienced candidates possessing the skills required to undertake DEC assessments and compile ARs, there is a fast track option: APEL.
To satisfactorily complete an APEL application, supporting information is required to demonstrate competence against the National Occupational Standard (NOS) framework in conjunction with submission of relevant projects for technical appraisal.
